Facebook Pages

Meta OAuth 2.0 with Page selection

Prepare a Facebook Page post and its media together.

This page is for people deciding whether OpenPost fits their Facebook Pages publishing workflow.

OpenPost publishes text, photos, video, and Stories to selected Facebook Pages.

Implemented: Meta review and Page permissions still apply

Managed certification: No managed provider-format certification claim is current.

Your social app may need approval before it can publish.

Different formats, different rules.

OpenPost checks the text and media rules for the format you choose.

  • Multi-photo, Story, and video profiles
  • App permissions and a live account test are required

Set up Facebook Pages in three checks.

  1. 1

Set up the Facebook app, permissions, and callback address.

  2. 2

Connect through Meta and choose the Page OpenPost should publish to.

  3. 3

Complete Meta review and test a live Page before you schedule real posts.

Known limits

What can still block a post.

  • App review and Page permissions determine whether a Page and format work.
  • Media must be available at a public HTTPS URL that Meta can fetch.
  • This integration publishes to Pages, not personal Facebook profiles.

Account requirement: A Facebook Page, eligible Meta user, configured Meta app, and the required reviewed permissions.

Verification: Do not plan a launch around this integration until Page selection and every required format pass a live test.

Use the current callback address, permissions, and media setup.

Social network developer pages change. The OpenPost guide lists the settings and checks you need now.
