Set up X in three checks.

  1. 1

Configure the X client ID, secret, and the exact OpenPost callback URL.

  2. 2

Enable OAuth 1.0a user authentication in the X developer portal.

  3. 3

Connect the X account from Social accounts, then publish a small test post.

Known limits

What can still block a post.

  • OpenPost uses standard limits when X cannot verify a connected account subscription tier.
  • Media publishing needs OAuth 1.0a access-token and secret pairs.
  • Polls, quote posts, and other format settings remain subject to the account API tier.

Account requirement: An X developer app with OAuth 1.0a user authentication enabled.

Verification: Check OAuth, account limits, and each post type you plan to use.

Use the current callback address, permissions, and media setup.

Social network developer pages change. The OpenPost guide lists the settings and checks you need now.
